The project
How Baito put MapleStorySEA’s NPCs on the floor at LaLaport
In a game, an NPC is a non-player character. At LaLaport, the NPCs were Baito’s crew, in black MapleStorySEA tees with ‘NPC’ printed on the back.
Crown Loot Drop was MapleStorySEA’s two-day push at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre on 20 and 21 June 2026. The crew worked the mall from 12pm to 4pm each day with reward signs, Crown Loot Drop posters and a portable capsule machine.
PlayPark, MapleStorySEA’s publisher, booked Baito directly. Baito put 10 extrovert crew on the floor each day, with its own supervision, and filmed the first day for an event highlight and a social reel.
Event days and hours are from the event schedule (20–21 June 2026, 12pm–4pm). Crew per day is Baito’s extrovert crew on the floor each day, as booked by PlayPark; supervisors are not counted. These are Baito’s own delivery counts, not audience figures.
01The brief
Two days.
One loot drop.
Crown Loot Drop ran over a weekend: Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June 2026, from 12pm to 4pm each day.
PlayPark, the game’s publisher, brought Baito in directly, with no agency in between. Baito’s job was the floor team, 10 extrovert crew a day plus supervision, and four hours of filming on the Saturday for a 16:9 event highlight and a 9:16 social reel.
The posters carried the campaign line: ‘Meet Lynn & the Crown Heroes! Win exclusive loot!’ The crew’s job was to take it to shoppers across the mall, from the food court to the outdoor lawn.
02The NPCs
The NPCs,
in person.
The crew wore black tees: ‘MapleStorySEA’ and a gold maple leaf on the front, ‘NPC’ and a crowned mushroom on the back. In the game, NPCs are the characters you don’t play. Here, shoppers could walk up to them.
Ten of them worked the floor each day, with Baito supervising.
They carried the campaign kit with them: ‘Win Rewards Up to RM100!’ signs, ‘FREE GACHA!’ cut-outs, Crown Loot Drop posters and a portable MapleStorySEA capsule machine.
03On the floor
Food court to
outdoor lawn.
The crew moved through LaLaport in groups, from the food court and the indoor atriums to the main entrance and the outdoor lawn.
Wherever they stopped, the signs went up. Shoppers posed with the crew and read the posters, phones in hand.

04Free gacha
Scan, register,
claim a free pull.
The Crown Loot Drop poster spelled out the offer: ‘Scan here to register & claim your free gacha pull!’ The ‘Win Rewards Up to RM100!’ signs, held up high, did the shouting.
Then came the capsule machine. A crew member held it while shoppers gave it a turn, and they opened their capsules there and then.
On the Sunday at 1.28pm, a line of shoppers with their phones out stretched across an atrium in front of the NPC crew.
05The results
Two days.
Ten crew a day.
Baito crew per day
LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre · 20–21 June 2026
Baito held the floor for both shifts: 10 extrovert crew each day plus supervision, from 12pm to 4pm on 20 and 21 June, and four hours of filming on the Saturday for a 16:9 event highlight and a 9:16 social reel.
These are Baito’s own delivery counts, not audience figures.
For game publishers planning a mall drop, the value is one partner for the crew, the supervision and the film: a team that looks the part and goes where the shoppers are.
